Every form has a story

Liz's ceramics are rooted in an attention to shape, surface, and the quiet details that make a handmade object feel right. Each piece carries the mark of its making.

The process

01

Wedge

The clay is prepared by hand, working out air and aligning the grain.

02

Throw

Each piece is shaped on the wheel, one at a time, guided by feel.

03

Glaze

Layers of glaze are applied by dipping and pouring for depth and texture.

04

Fire

Into the kiln at over 2,000°F. What comes out is always a surprise.
